Four Cougars to wrestle at Junior Canadian Championships

Four University of Regina wrestlers are to compete at the 2015 Junior Canadian Championships at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ont. this weekend.

Lucas Hoffert, Geno Poirier and Isaac Lubiak will represent the Cougars in the men's draws, while Indhyra Linares will be the lone female competitor from the U of R.

Hoffert is to wrestle in the 66-kilogram class, with his first matchup against Guelph's Taylor Kam. Poirier will battle Bradley McGarrey in the men's 84kg and Lubiac will wrestle Guelph's Job Reinhart in the men's 120kg.

Linares will compete in the women's 55-kilogram class. Her first match is against Tina McLaren of Brock.

Wrestling is to begin on Friday afternoon and continue through Sunday.
