A former Athletics Canada Coach for more than ten years, Gardiner Gardiner coached five Bisons athletes that performed in either the Olympics or World Championships and coached four other Bisons athletes who competed at either Commonwealth Games, Pan Am Games, FISU Games at the international level.

The future is certainly bright for the Calgary Dinos track & field program. A number of current and future Dinos competed at the 2023 Bell Canadian Track & Field Championships in Langley, B.C. at the end of July and performed incredibly on one of the sport's biggest stages.

Capping off his 2022/23 track season in style, fourth-year Bear Justin Rose captured gold in the men's 400m hurdles at the 2023 Bell Canadian Track & Field Championship in Langley, BC.

Jonathan Podbielski won both the U20 800-metre and U20 1500-metre races, Shelaine Pritchard took first in the U20 heptathlon, and Storm Zablocki claimed gold in the U20 100-metre dash at the 2023 Bell Canadian Track & Field Championships last week in Langley, B.C.
