Horns Rugby 7s finish the season sixth in the nation

Pronghorns Women's Rugby 7s competed in the National Championship from March 26-27 hosted by Concordia University in Montreal, QC. The Horns had a decisive win in their first game versus Montreal Carabins, defeating the Carabins 31-5. In their next game of pool play, the Horns faced Queens Gaels coming up short in the 0-22 loss.
In the quarterfinal on Sunday, the Pronghorns faced a familiar opponent, Victoria Vikes but were unsuccessful losing 5-38 and sending the Horns to the consolation semifinal against Carleton Ravens. The Horns controlled the game against the Ravens, winning 42-0. The Pronghorns finished the tournament with a 10-15 loss against the Alberta Pandas to earn sixth position in the nation.
"I am really proud of this group, they continue to work and improve. We finished higher than our ranking coming in. It's great to play against teams from difference conferences and the team had a great experience," Head Coach, Graeme Moffat said of the team.
"Genna Wright, completes her term as a Pronghorn athlete. She has been a fantastic role model to this young group," Moffat added.
