Komlodi signs pro deal with Raiffeisen Volley Toggenburg
Trinity Western women's volleyball setter Dora Komlodi (Calgary) has signed her first professional contract as the Canada West all-star will join Raiffeisen Volley Toggenburg in Wattwil, Switzerland this fall.
LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western women's volleyball setter Dora Komlodi (Calgary) has signed her first professional contract as the Canada West all-star will join Raiffeisen Volley Toggenburg in Wattwil, Switzerland this fall.
Komlodi is coming off an impressive Spartans career in which she also helped TWU to four conference titles and a national title. In her final year with TWU, she was named a Canada West Second Team All-Star after guiding TWU to a conference leading .267 hitting percentage while, individually, finishing second in CW with 9.83 assists per set.
Komlodi will be joined by TWU teammate Savannah Purdy (Victoria), as the star outside hitter also signed with Raiffeisen Volley Toggenburg.
Including both the Spartans women's and men's volleyball teams, TWU has five players from last year's rosters who have officially signed professional contracts, including men's players Mathias Elser (Calgary), who signed with Alterna State Poitevin in Franc, Brodie Hofer (Langley), who will join Cerrad Enea Czarni Radom in Poland, and Jesse Elser (Calgary), who signed with SVG Lüneburg in Germany.
