CURL: No team clinches title in Day 2, setting up a dramatic Day 3 in the CW Championships

REGINA - The Alberta Golden Bears defeated the Regina Cougars 9-4 in Draw 5 to remain as the only undefeated team left in the tournament. They can clinch the men's title tomorrow with a win against UBC.
In the first game of the day, the Alberta Pandas defeated the Brandon Bobcats 6-4 in Draw 3. The Alberta women's team scored five in the third end to win their first game of the tournament.
Regina's women's team defeated Alberta in a tightly-contested match in Draw 4, as the Cougars won in extras 6-5. Regina tied it in the 10th end, before pulling off a single-point steal in the 11th end to win the game.
Brandon defeated the Regina 5-3 in Draw 5, however, to stay at the top of the standings in the women's bracket. If they defeat Alberta tomorrow, they will clinch the Canada West Championship.
Draw 4 on the men's side saw two teams dominate, as Regina defeated Lethbridge 10-2 and Alberta took down Brandon 9-1. Both Lethbridge and Brandon conceded, making both games shorter than 10 ends.
UBC defeated Lethbridge in Draw 5, taking the game 6-5. Lethbridge forced extras by scoring two in the 10th end, but UBC scored in the 11th to take the game. With the win, UBC stays alive at a chance to capture the men's championship tomorrow.
Draw 6 is the final draw and will be at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow. There are several scenarios on both sides, as no team has clinched the Championship yet.
On the men's side, UBC will take on Alberta. If the Golden Bears win, they will capture the Canada West title. Regina will be taking on Brandon, and if they win, paired with an Alberta loss, it will create a three-way tie for first place.
