Four MRU women's volleyball players secure pro contracts
Fresh off leading the Cougars Women's Volleyball team to silver at the Canada West Championships and fifth place at the U SPORTS National Championships, a quartet of recent graduates has achieved a major milestone by signing professional contracts with European clubs.

Setter Quinn Pelland (2018-2023) is set to showcase her skills in France as she joins Pays d'Aix Venelles. Meanwhile, outside hitter Haley Roe (2018-2023) has inked a deal with Raiffeisen Volley Toggenburg in Switzerland. Middle Nyadholi Thokbuom (2021-2023) will be making her mark with Tchalou Volley in Belgium, while Madison Marshall (2019-2023) is set to hit from the outside with Aris Volleyball in Greece.
Adding to their decorated post-secondary careers, Pelland, Thokbuom, and Marshall are all headed to Europe fresh off representing Canada on the 2023 NextGen team this summer.
